it has been sooooo long since we have been on a family holiday ... brendan does his once a year fishing trip but the kids and i never seem to be able to get away .. until brendan surprised us with a trip to hamilton island for christmas. many of you know i had been counting down for a while and finally the time was upon us. mitch was very excitied to be going on a plane to an island. emma went with the flow and brendan and i were starting to feel relaxed as we boarded the plane. emma travelled well, her ears only hurting upon landing .. mitch stole the window seat and enjoyed looking at the land becoming smaller and smaller.
we touched down on hamilton on Tuesday last week and were escorted to our apartment by golf buggy. mitch loved the pool as did emma. there was lots of investigating, eating, swimming, fishing, boating, putt putt, photo taking and relaxing to be had. it was a wonderful couple of days that seemed to of flown by to quickly. before we new it friday was upon us and it was time to go home (insert sad face here).
not much on the island had changed since brendan and i went there for our honeymoon almost 10 years ago. check out a few of our photo snaps below .....
