today ....

what a day .....

first day back at school for Mitch, so it was up early, breakfast, uniform on and out the door. we got to school unpacked his books and settled him in. brendan had to head off pretty much straight away as he has a Twenty20 on at the gabba tonight. i stayed for another 10mins or so just in case, but he was fine. i left him playing happily with some boys on the mat.

(Grade two ... here we come)

emma and i made the trek to spotlight at everton hills, we made it without getting lost :) i was very proud of myself. i could walk around spotlight for ages and spend alot of money there ... but i was very good today. got some new wool to crochet emmas new blanket (i'm in love with emmas new blanket) and a few other bits and pieces. will show a photo of emmas blanket when i have more of it done. i have only managed to crochet 5 granny squares so far :)

i finally finished off moving my craft cupboard out of emmas room. this was a very time consuming project. didn't realise how much stuff i had accumalted. i didn't cull very much and managed to make it all fit on four shelves.

due to the disruptive day today, i ended up with a very overtired little poppet. there was lots of crying until she finally dosed off around 6.00pm. as i type this she is still sound asleep.

i gave her a cuddle straight after i took this photo ... i promise :)

i am going to make the most of the quietness, and enjoy a nice warm cup of tea and a piece of slice whilst doing some crocheting.
